Liquid Storage by Zortje Liquid Storage by Zortje
Wanted to test some liquid and metal materials and had this wired idea about some tanks containing some sort of liquid, (no its not blood, or supposed to look like that)
The screen contains 24 tanks, 530k polys and took about 1hour 11min 59sec to render on my Conroe E6600 :P

EDIT: Changed the water to be more "still" & now 1600*1200.

It's alien technology that runs on the lymph fluids of warm blooded animals! The proteins they add to keep the liquid from becoming inert makes the fluids a bright transparent red!

It looks like their levels are getting low though...they must begin the harvest again!

This reminds me of my reservoir in my water cooling rig. Nice. Perhaps you can sell this idea to water cooling manufacturers.

Cool, thank you :)
I do not think anyone would buy a design form a unknown person like me, it is not that hard for them to just rip off my design and get away with it.
Although it would be very cool if some cooling manufacture wanted to use my design for one of their products :)

Hell yeah man. When I saw the image of those tubes I imagine myself in line buying a few for my liquid cooling. Jokes aside my friend consider it.

Hi... that's cool. I really like your gallery, this one stands out. :+fav: --- I only wonder if the "blotchiness" of the shadow in the FG is intended. Cool work.

Thank you so much :)

I guess they arnt (not 100% sure what FG is refering to), but i didnt know about sampling values when i did this :(

Sorry for my English... with FG I meant "foreground", but I know it could be confused with Final Gathering (that's how global illumination is called in XSI, the software I use).

Yep, sampling values are a bit confusing, at least when one begins (at least they were for me, LOL). But, as the :+fav: testimony, I liked this image really a lot.

I always admire someone who can make a 3d image look so real. I tried with 3DS max and took a few classes, couldn't handle it. Ah well. Nicely done :)

Nope.. when you use GI and vray materials you should use some vray-override materials ;) not all of course. Try to search tutorials about that ;)

The number tells in which octave the sound is.
In this numeration Middle C is C-3.
